The CR5 is an automotive-grade computer vision SoC, integrating iCatch Technology's 8th-generation dual-core AI Image Signal Processor (AI-ISP), and is designed with features specifically tailored for automotive imaging applications. These include support up to 8 channel, 120dB HDR support, an AI-based denoise engine, and RGBIR CMOS sensor compatibility. The built-in proprietary video DSP (VDSP) and neural processing unit (NPU) enable the implementation of advanced ADAS functions, such as DVR, DMS, BSD, RCW and CMS (Camera Monitoring System) applications in both passenger and commercial vehicles. Additionally, the CR5 provides a range of peripheral interfaces to enhance connectivity with other automotive electronic control units (ECUs), enabling seamless system integration. It also includes a USB 3.2 Host/Device interface for uncompressed video output and high-speed data transfers. For enhanced security, the CR5 features a security engine that supports secure boot and data encryption/decryption, safeguarding system firmware and user data to improve overall cybersecurity.
