iCatch Attend CES 2020 to Reveal Innovative and Intelligent Image Processing Solutions

iCatch Technology, a global leader in low-power and intelligent image processing SoC solutions, will join with nearly 4000 manufacturers to participate in the world’s biggest tech event, the Consumer Electronics Show, in 2020 held in Las Vegas, USA from January 7 to 10. iCatch will showcase her latest technologies under the theme of the AIoT and intelligent automotive imaging solutions, including smart home camera, PTZ web camera, intelligent rear view camera, and driver monitoring system.

iCatch has been actively approaching AIoT market and collaborated with many domestic and foreign manufacturers, as well as academics institutes. The smart home surveillance camera solution is based on the V37 AI-powered image processing SoC, which has incorporated a state-of-the-art neural processing unit (NPU) to empower the edge computing capability right on the camera. It can perform intelligent image analysis functions, such as detection of face, human, or animal, and then further to develop face recognition or home monitoring solutions. For example, the camera can recognize family members and only send out alerts when there are unknown persons or pets in the scene by introducing face recognition into home security camera.

In addition to providing high-quality 4k resolution images to the far-end video connection, the video conference camera based on iCatch's V37 platform can crop and track a person in the camera field of view so that the image of this tracked person will locate as close to the display screen center as possible. This function is a very useful for a conference presenter or a live streaming host, and will save the cost of using mechanically controlled cameras.

For automotive imaging applications, iCatch will present the car recording image processing SoC CR1 and the intelligent image signal processor CI1 in this event. Both chips have integrated powerful image processor and advanced edge computing capabilities to provide the best image quality for drivers’ viewing and to achieve ADAS applications in the module. For example, the RVC and blind spot detection (BSD) system can help driver to monitor the rear of the vehicle or the blind spot when driving on the road, and automatically warn the driver when the vehicle is too close to an object. When the vehicle deviates from the lane line, approaches pedestrians, or is too close to the preceding vehicle during high-speed driving, such warning system can immediately alert the driver of these hazardous road conditions. In-cabin monitoring system can detect driver status and monitor whether there are other passengers in car. Drivers will also be alerted if the driver is in a state of possible drowsiness, using mobile phone, or smoking, etc. CR1 and CI1 are both high-performance and cost effective automotive imaging platforms that customers can also use them to enable other intelligent imaging solutions. CR1 recently also becomes the first chip in iCatch to pass AEC-Q100 grade 2 qualification.

The product quality of iCatch is trusted and affirmed by the customers from all walks of life. The products and technologies displayed this time in CES have been adopted by internationally renowned customers to develop new products.
